Santa will come for breakfast

Go to our Facebook page for announcements and pictures posted after each event, www.facebook.com/ pages/Hemphill-Community Center.

The Breakfast with Santa is our annual community Christmas event. Santa will be there in all his glory. Bring children from birth to 99 as we celebrate the birth of Jesus in our community with great fellowship and gladness. Some of our greatest cooks will join forces to serve a big ole coal camp country breakfast complete with Mable’s chocolate gravy. It’s biscuit sopping good! We will begin serving at 8 a.m. and end serving at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. $6 adults and $3 for children. Y’all come!

We will be going carolling on Monday, Dec. 18. We will meet at the center at 2 p.m. for a rehearsal of songs before we go out to sing for some folks who are sick and shut in. If you want to sing with us, please meet us at the center. We will to carpool to the homes we plan to visit. We will also sing in Whitesburg that evening. The caroling will take the place of our regular monthly shape note singing as it falls on Christmas Eve. We will resume our regular fourth Sunday singing in January 2018.
