Secret Valentines exchange gifts

Hello everyone. Sorry it has been so long since I put anything in the paper. I have been having some personal problems, and had to have a knee replacement.

I am doing fine now, and back to my usual ornery self.

The center has had to miss sessions because of our crazy weather. Some of our ladies have been ill and not getting to come be with us.

We drew names for Secret Valentines. The exchange was at Las Penas. Dinner was good as usual. Attending were Margie Sturgill, Sue Williams, Eulah Miller, Lorene Hampton and her niece Brook, Faye Herron, Judy and Greg Eldridge, Harold Day, Kathy Ingram (our site manager/ bus driver/friend), and myself .

My daughter Bunny Dollarhyde and Josh Cornett stopped by to have lunch with us.

There is a new baby at my house, his name is Biscuit. He is Chihuahua and wiener dog. Of course he is spoiled rotten.

It seems as though every day we lose another neighbor to death. Bradley Jones was the son of one of my best friends. I have watched them bury her whole family, including her.

People, it is time to be planning that garden. They are going to be doing the gardening project again this year. I don’t know too much about it, but you can call Nell Fields, 633-2858, for more information.

Eulah Miller and the rest of us at the center would like to send our love and good wishes to Reniva Day in Brookville, Ind. We hope she keeps on reading our little paper. We would love to hear from her.

We would love to see you at our center. The third Tuesday of every month is our potluck. Come join us.

If you want more information call me at 655-1586. I will try to help you.

If you have anything to put in the paper, call me.

I don’t have a soapbox moment this week. I’m afraid to climb on the box, it would be slick and I would fall.

Just wait until the snow is over.

That’s it for this week. I’m glad to be back writing, I missed doing it.

Until next week, smile and see how many smile back at you.
