The Ermine Senior Citizens Center celebrated St. Patrick’s Day and Easter by having a party and potluck dinner.
We had Mr. and Mrs. Leprechaun, won by Lennon and Yvonne Hammock. They each received a large bucket filled with gifts. Mr. Easter Bunny was Metry Kuracka. He won a toolbox filled with tools. Miss Easter Bunny was Shirley Day and she won a beautiful candle donated by Collins Florist. They each received their rabbit ears. We played games and bingo and lots of gifts were given away.
Faith Moves Mountains brought two large Easter baskets to be given away, also our own Jim Craft brought two Easter lilies to be used as prizes. Lee’s donated two tickets, Subway donated four tickets, and Dawahare’s donated two T-shirts.
Lizzie Mae Wright won a gallon of jelly beans by guessing the amount. She guessed 2,200 and the jar held 2,400 plus.
We had a wonderful day. Also, our county judge came and had lunch with us. We’d like to thank all that donated to our party. They were appreciated.
Our site manager, Debbie Slone, had surgery Thursday at Whitesburg Hospital. She is home now and we hope she will soon be back as we miss her and her good dumplings too.
We went to Buckhorn Lake. We made pictures, colored placemats, and made quilt squares on squares of foam. We played bingo and had a wonderful dinner. We saw wild turkeys and deer coming back. We stopped at Isom for ice cream. We had a wonderful fun day.
We’d like to thank our Jim Craft for all the things he does for us and our center. Jim, you are really appreciated.
If you are a senior citizen, come and join us as we’d like to have you. Join in our fun.
God bless all.
