Golly gee! It’s me, back again one more time. Do you believe it?

I just wanted to tell you about the fun we senior citizens at Ermine Center are having and let you see our pretty seniors.

Don’t you think this is a pretty bunch in the picture? I think so.

It was taken at our beautiful Fishpond Lake on Sept. 18. We were with all the Letcher County Senior Citizens centers. We have six of them, and you won’t believe what a wonderful bunch of seniors was there, unless you were one of us. Thirty of us from Ermine attended (I got a lot of hugs too, and I like that).

Jim Ward cooked the chicken and tenderloin, and furnished the potato salad. Debbie Slone made baked beans and coleslaw. Elisha from our center baked the biscuits, and we also had cakes, cookies and drinks. Boy, did we stuff! Now we’re up for more fun.

Wednesday, Sept. 24, we will be going to Whitesburg Day. Gee! That’s today! We’ll have lots of fun and probably eat too much too.

Oct. 8, we will go to Wise, Va., to the Wise Fling. That should be fun. Then Oct. 9, we will go to Hazard College for a health fair.

Boy! I can hardly wait until Oct. 29 to go to Perry County Park. We get to dress up for Halloween. We’re going to be judged to see who has the prettiest costume.

We’re going to have a great time on these days. Join us. We are still recycled teenagers. So if you want to have fun, come along with us.

The seniors from all the centers want to thank our judge, Jim Ward, Trenda, and all the workers who took a part in preparing the food and planning the picnic, and those who served us the food.

God bless you all. Until next time.
