Seniors enjoy potlucks

Hello everyone, it’s been awhile since we have written from the Ovenfork Center. I hope everyone is doing okay.

Well, two potlucks have passed, but we would like to thank a few people for the things that they donated. A big thanks goes out to Pine Mountain Grill for its 30 gift cards and Subway for its four gift cards that it donated, and the beautiful plaque from Hometown Florist. It was a very pretty picture.

Thanks goes out to Debbie Slone for getting them for us. She is a wonderful person and we enjoy having her.

Also, a big thanks for the singers who came to sing for us every potluck. They do a wonderful job, and we would also like to thank Bobby Ray Howard and his son for coming to sing.

This month’s potluck was joyful also. The singers came and we had about 30 people. We always have a great time.

We would like to send a very special thank you to all the seniors. They always put on a wonderful potluck because they cook all of the delicious food that is always so good.

We have a lot of sick folks in our little community and our hearts are with them. They have our wishes that they get better real soon.

Our prayer list includes a few of them: Dorothy Lewis, Tim Maggard, Roger Shelton, Pearl Baker, Vonda Lewis, Debbie Slone, Nina Hobbs, Doug Bailey, and all of our seniors who aren’t feeling well and anyone who has lost a loved one.

Come and join us at the Ovenfork Center. We’d enjoy having you.

Until next time, bye.
