Ethel Marie Tompkins, 83, died July 2 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn.
A daughter of the late Howard and Girtie Robinson Mullins, she was the widow of Warren G. Tompkins and the mother of the late Harold Eugene Tompkins. She was a grandmother of the late Michael Tompkins, and a sister of the late Gladys Dotson, Chlorine “Sis” Mullins, and Homer Mullins.
Funeral services were held July 4. Burial was in the Dewey Memorial Cemetery in Pound, Va.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Winebarger and husband Garnice, and Brenda Mullins-Hall and husband Buck, all of Hiltons, Va.; a son, Donald Tompkins, Jenkins; two sisters, Shirley Collins and husband Eugene, Pound, Va., and Mae Johnson, Jefferson City, Tenn.; grandchildren, Amanda Mullins, Matthew Mullins, Daniel Hall, Angel Hall, Brennan Mullins, Jessica Thacker, and Joshua Webb; greatgrandchildren, Amilya Ogle, Layla Hall, Emma Johnson, Olivia Grace Webb, and Lily Thacker.
