Services are held for Anetha Wright

Jenkins native Anetha Wright, 45, of Johnson City, Tenn., died May 1 in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

A daughter of Henry Ed and Reeda Wright, she was a granddaughter of the late Roy and Mary Reason, and the late Martin and Marybelle Wright, and a niece of the late Roy and Margaret Reasor, Colleen Ross and Hansford Wright.

She was a 1981 graduate of Jenkins High School, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia at Wise, attended the University of Kentucky, and did some work toward her master’s degree at East Tennessee State University.

She was a member of the Jenkins Methodist Church. She worked for Beecham Pharmaceutical Company and was retired from James Quillen Veterans Hospital.

Surviving in addition to her parents are aunts, Anetha Tanner and Judy Mulvaney, and cousins, Roy, Fran, Katie and Maggie Reasor, Mike, Katherine and Brett Carman, Shane and Susie Vandergriff, Zane Stone and Mike and Tish Neff.

Funeral services were held May 4. Graveside services took place May 5 at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, Va.
