Services are held for Clova Setzer

Funeral services for Clova Amburgey Setzer, 93, were held October 28 at the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

A daughter of the late Casie and Betty Ison Amburgey, she was the widow of D.S. Setzer. She died October 26 at her home in Whitesburg.

She was a sister of the late Otis Amburgey, Prova Amburgey, Casie Amburgey Jr., Lottie Mae Dixon, and Bonnie A. Davis.

Mrs. Setzer was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, a former Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She taught grade school prior to her marriage in 1946, and worked part time in the family accounting office until the early 1990s. She was also an avid gardener.

Surviving are a son, David R. Setzer and wife Linda, Whitesburg; a daughter, Vicki Setzer, Whitesburg; a brother, Jack Amburgey and wife Mary Ruth, Hazard; two grandchildren, Rebecca Setzer Haun and husband Rick, Milford, Ohio, and Jon Setzer, Whitesburg; and two caregivers, Delores Couch and Sharon Johnson.

Everidge Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
