Geneva Phillips, 87, died May 27, in Gray, Tenn.
Born in Jenkins to the late George W. Holbrook and Cora A. Mullins Holbrook, she was retired as postmaster from the Payne Gap Post Office with over 50 years of service.
Surviving are her husband, Reamus Phillips of Payne Gap; three daughters, Judy Sloan and husband Marlon of Gate City, Va., Becky Vaughn and husband Michael of Kingsport, Tenn., and Sherrie Miller and husband Rob of Bluff City, Tenn., three sons, Fred Phillips and wife Dessie and Dewayne Phillips and wife Debbie, all of Gray, Tenn., and Stephen Phillips and wife Cheryl Phillips of Rutledge, Tenn.; a sister, Mildred Marcum of Payne Gap; four brothers, George Holbrook Jr. of Sevierville, Tenn., Charles Holbrook and Frank Holbrook, both of Payne Gap, and Eddie Holbrook of Rutledge, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 30, at the Payne Gap Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in the Sam Bentley Cemetery at Payne Gap.
