Services are held for Helen Yonts

Funeral services for Helen Marie Yonts, 85, of Jackhorn, were held March 11 at the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church in Jenkins.

Burial was in the Hobart Yonts Cemetery at Hemphill.

Born in Letcher County, she was a daughter of the late Hobart and Matilda Hall Yonts. She died March 8 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

She had been a schoolteacher at Hemphill, and was a member of the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church.

Carty Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
