Funeral services for Isaac ‘Bud’ Cook, 71, of Payne Gap, were held September 21 at the New Beginnings Assembly of God in Jenkins. Burial was in Laurel Fork Cemetery at Payne Gap.
He died September 17 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A son of the late Henry and Celestia Gibson Cook, he preceded in death by five siblings, Roy, Ralph, Jene, Clarence and Faye.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra ‘Bebop’ Cook; two sons, James Gregg and wife Chrystal of Trammel, Va., and Curtis Gregg and wife Wilma of Harlan; two daughters, Angie Cook and husband Jonathan of Jenkins, and Aimee Cook and husband Steve of Appalachia, Va.; two sisters, Iva Lee Thomas of Michigan City, Ind., and Laverne Smith of Swanton, Oh.; two brothers, Doug Cook of Kingscreek and Jesse Cook of McRoberts; and 11 grandchildren, Christopher and wife Tiffany, Nicole and husband Adam, J.C. and wife Melissa, Hunter, Elizabeth, Grayson, Michael, Kailee, Blaize, Brionia and Karrie.
Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
