Ival Adams, 80, of Belleville, Mich., died December 27 after a long illness.
Born in Whitesburg to the late William and Betty Collins Adams, he was U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Whitesburg.
He attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, Mich.
Surviving are his wife, Henrietta Cook Adams; a son, Charles Ray Adams of Belleville, Mich.; a daughter, Deborah Hazel of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, William H. Adams Jr. of Plainsfield, Ind.; three sisters, Inez Adams and Billie Lois Adams of Whitesburg, and Ruth Collins and husband Jim of Willis, Mich.; and nephew and niece Bob Breeding and Georgia Fay Swims.
Funeral services were held December 30 in Ypsilanti, Mich. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at Belleville, Mich.
