Jonell J. Maggard, 73, died March 7 at her home at Fleming-Neon.
A daughter of the late Ellis and Sabrina Craft Johnson, she was a sister of the late Donald L. Johnson and Ellis ‘Buddy’ Johnson, Jr., and a grandmother of the late Kelly C. ‘K.C.’ Jones.
She was a member of the Moore’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church of McRoberts.
Surviving are her husband, Corbin Maggard; two daughters, Delana G. Webb of Neon and Lenita A. Waltman of Andalusia, Ala.; a son, Gregory V. Jones of Bradenton, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Robin Mullins of Whitaker and Sherrie Wilder of McRoberts; five sisters, Annette Potter of Florence, Jeanette Napier of St. Augustine, Fla., Margaret Seals of Senantobia, Miss., Patricia Bowen of Pikeville and Sara J. Burns of Huntington, Tenn.; a brother, Billy Johnson of Neon; 10 grandchildren, Tracy G. Brewer of Nicholasville, Delana J. Brown of Bradenton, Fla., Kellie A. Conboy of Jacksonville, Fla., Jamie A. Waltman of Newburg, Ore., Shandra L. Waltman of Andalusia, Ala., Gregory V. Jones Jr. of Nebraska, Joseph ‘Joey’ Jones of Bradenton, Fla., Jared Wilder of Neon, Coty Mullins and Katelyn Mullins, both of Whitaker; and seven greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 10 at Moore’s Chapel Church. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
