NORMAN GEORGE SEXTON

Funeral services for Norman George Sexton, 76, were held August 27 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Gibson Cemetery at Isom.

A son of the late John Sexton, he was the widower of Wilma Sexton.

A coal miner for more than 40 years, he loved fishing, being outdoors, and playing cornhole.

Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Whitaker of Low Gap Branch; three sons, Timothy Sexton and wife Callie, and Ronnie Sexton and wife Moaneek, all of Low Gap Branch, and Donnie Sexton and wife Amy of Eolia; a stepdaughter, Angel Russell of Whitesburg; a stepson, Brian Taulbee of Neon; three brothers, Oliver Sexton and wife Brenda, and Francis Sexton and wife Jan, all of Eolia, and Boliver Sexton and wife Jeanette of Little Colley; brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law, Eddie, Rocky, Darrell, Junior, Mal, Lilly, Kathleen, Patty, Betty, Alene and Shelia; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Sexton, Kernel Sexton, and Jerry Sexton; five sisters, Nora Logan, Linda Humphrey, Connie Cook, Stella Burns, and Maretta Caudill; and a great-grandchild, Braylee.
