Services are held for Ona Adams, 80




Funeral services for Ona Blaine Quillen Adams, 80, were held June 11 at the Neon First Church of God. Burial was in the Reynolds Cemetery at Seco.

A daughter of the late W.M. and Essie Blaine Wright Quillen, she was the mother of the late Michael Lynn Adams. She was the sister of the late Cossie C. Quillen, Dr. Samuel W. Quillen, Victor Quillen, and Edsel Quillen. She died June 9.

Mrs. Adams was a beautician in Harlan and Neon, and she and her husband, Robert Vernon Adams, owned and operated the Neon Rexall. She was a member of the Neon First Church of God, where she was the secretary of the Sunday School and the Women of the Church of God.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Phillip V. Adams and wife Kathy, and a daughter, Linda Adams Collins and husband James D. Collins, all of Neon; five grandchildren, Allison R. Adams, Jonathan D. Adams, Robert K. Collins, S. Stamper Collins, all of Neon, and Michael A. Adams and wife Heather, Fort Campbell; nephews Sam Quillen and wife Anna, Scooter Quillen and wife Brenda, and J.V. Quillen and wife Annie; and nieces Lesley Williams and husband Dennis, Nina Fay Selvage, and Nelda Gay Johnson and husband Robert.

Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
