Services are held for Ronald Curry

Ronald Keith Curry 78 died March 31 at his home at Indian Creek.

Born in Floyd County to the late Paul and Della Johnson Curry, he was a brother of the late Charles Curry and Forest Curry.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had taught 35 years in Pike County and also had taught swimming lessons.

Curry was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Virgie Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Ann Carey Curry; two daughters, Katy Pergrem of Pikeville, and Sandy Curry of Montgomery, Ala.; three brothers, John Paul Curry of Florence, Roy Curry of Jenkins, and Troy Curry of Melbourne, Fla.; and a grandson, Clark Dale Pergrem II.

Funeral services were held April 4 at the Virgie Middle School auditorium. Burial was in the T. J. Anderson Cemetery at Indian Creek.
