Ruth Hogg, 45, died June 3 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Russell A. and Ruth Cook Thompson, and the widow of Timothy Monroe Hogg.
She was a member of the Calvary Temple Church of God at Sandlick, and was a sister of the late Russell E. Thompson and Johnny Thompson. She was a daughter in-law of the late Monroe Hogg, and a sister-inlaw of the late Patricia Hogg.
Surviving are a son, Timothy Hogg and wife Kimberly of Pert Creek; a daughter, Priscilla Mae Hogg of Pert Creek; three brothers, Ronald Ison, Charles Ison and Lyle Thompson; five sisters, Mary Shaffer, Geraldine Ison, Mary Thompson, Linda Thompson and Donna Thompson; a granddaughter, Alissa Briann Hogg of Pert Creek; her mother-in-law, Eula Mae “Ninny” Hogg of Pert Creek; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hogg, Pert Creek; a nephew, Billy Baker, Pert Creek; and two nieces, Gabby and Cynthia.
Funeral services were held June 5 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in the Hogg family cemetery at Pert Creek.
