Funeral services for Anna Mae Cook, 71, will be held at 1 p.m. today (May 8) at Calvary Temple Church of God in Whitesburg. Burial will follow in the Babe Ison Cemetery at Isom.
Born in Whitesburg to the late Thomas Sexton and Virgie Quillen Sexton, she died May 5 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was the widow of Dexter Cook, and a sister of the late Elmer Sexton, Jack Sexton, Don Sexton, and Gerry Garrett.
Mrs. Cook was a member of Calvary Temple Church of God in Whitesburg, and enjoyed reading.
Surviving are four daughters, Marie Cook Pryor of Knott County, Geneva Cook Bailey of Manassas, Va., and Katrina Cook and Rebecca Cornett, both of Whitesburg; three sons, Darrick Cook, Bobby Cook and Larry Cook, all of Whitesburg; two sisters, Irene Dyer of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Faye Herron of Kingscreek; 19 grandchildren, and 24 greatgrandchildren.
