Funeral services for Norma Jean Roark, 84, will be held at noon today (Wednesday, September 30) at the Kingscreek Community Church. Burial will follow in the Roark Cemetery at Kingscreek.
A daughter of the late Grant and Hettie Ison Smith, she was the widow of Thomas E. Roark. She died September 27 at her residence at Kingscreek.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Wynn and husband Rodney and Sandra Ison, all of Kingscreek; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Roark of Kingscreek; a sister, Jacqueline Gwin of Eaton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Andrea King and husband Marty, Matthew Wynn and wife Tara, Katelyn Wynn, Jeanna Roark, and Kelsie Cornett; six great-grandchildren, John Steven Cornett, Jackson Cornett, Wyatt Ison, Madilyn Wynn, Kennedi Wynn, and Mattea Wynn; and a grandson-inlaw, Jimbo Ison.
Mrs. Roark was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Roark; a granddaughter, Amy Ison; a brother, Vernon Smith; and four sisters, Velma Sparkman, Rudell Fields, Janice Smith, and Eunice Kendrick.
