Services are set for Joyce Mullins




Funeral services for Joyce Mae Mullins, 55, of Jackson, formerly of Payne Gap, will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday). Burial will be in the Johnson family cemetery at Payne Gap.

Born in Letcher County, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Della Mae Quesenberry Johnson.

Mrs. Mullins was a bookkeeper, specializing in tax preparation. She died April 5 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Lee Mullins Sr.; four sons, Danny Lee Mullins Jr. and wife Donna, New Lebanon, Ohio; Charles Wendall Mullins and wife Brandy, Whitesburg; Anthony Keith Mullins and wife Rachel, Flemingsburg; and Travis Scott Mullins and wife Shelly, Neon; five sisters, Irene Lucas and Trula Davis and husband Ernie, all of Coeburn, Va.; Nannie Bowen and husband Fred, Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Geraldine Blair and Judy Wayne and husband David, all of Payne Gap; five brothers, Paul Johnson and wife Brenda, Pascaguola, Miss.; Bob Johnson and wife Brenda, Valdosta, Ga.; Dan Johnson and wife Janell, Cleveland, Va.; James Johnson and wife Janice, and Elijah Johnson and wife Sissie, all of Jenkins; and five grandchildren, Charley, Cody, Cayman, Andru and Elijah Mullins.

Carty Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
