Orson Jensen, 76, died September 11 at his home at Craft’s Colly.
A son of the late James and Nola Sherman Jensen, he was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was married to the late Loretta Adams Jensen.
Jensin served in the Korean War in the U.S.Army, was a member of the United Mine Workers of American, District 17, and was a coal miner for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 18 years.
He was the father of the late Orson Jensen Jr., and a brother of the late Estella Abbott, Lue Jensen, Jerry Jensen, and Larry Jensen.
Surviving are six sons, Ray Jensen and wife Angie of Payne Gap, Ernie Jensen and wife Betsy of Rangley, Colo., Gerald Jensen and wife Janice of Greensboro, N.C., Richard Jensen and wife Sissy Reed of UZ, Lyndon Jensen and wife Christine of Ermine, and Orson William Jensen and wife Crystal of Deane; a daughter, Starleen McCreary and husband C.W. of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister in-law, Janet Wright of Craft’s Colly; two brothers, Don Jensen of Cleveland, Utah, and Jim Jensen of Clearfield, Ut; and a sister, Sally Timothy of Wellington, Utah; 24 grandchildren, and 19n great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Everidge Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial will be in the Wright Cemetery at Beefhide.
