The Rev. Alonzo Polly, 79, died December 1 at his home in Mayking.
A son of the late Alonzo Polly Sr. and Betty Kincer Polly, he was the widower of Carol Polly.
Rev. Polly was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a past minister at the Mayking Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Alicia Polly of Mayking and Gloria Kincer of Payne Gap; three brothers, Kenneth Polly of Gibsonville, N.C., Roger Polly of Louisville, and Lee Polly and wife Judy of Hampshire, Ill.; a sister, Rowena Bond and husband Comer of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandsons, Johnathan Polly and wife Abby, Joey Kincer and wife Emily, and Zachary Polly, all of Mayking; and three greatgrandchildren, Luke Polly, Dylan Polly and Shealee Polly.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Polly and Jerome Polly, and three sisters, Lydia La Saint, Shannon Polly and Helen Polly.
Funeral services were held December 4 at the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in the Webb Cemetery at Mayking.
