Atha Lee Collier Bare, 72, of Coeburn, Va., formerly of Letcher County, died January 21.
Born at Neon, she was a daughter of the late Britt and Georgia Hall Collier and the widow of Gene Bare. She was a sister of the late Vernice Collier, Luther ‘Inkie’ Collier, Elmer Collier, Mack Collier, and Ike Collier, and a sister-in-law of the late Jennifer Collier.
She was a retired cook from Fleming-Neon Elementary School.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Creed and husband Robert, of Coeburn, Va., and Thelma Reckner, of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, Sara Lebendig, Tiffine Mc- Millan, and Derek Creed; four great-grandchildren, Skylar, Casey, Brady, and Isabella; two sisters, Ravenna Simmons, White Pine, Tenn., and Margaret Sturgill of Jackhorn; three brothers, Britt Collier Jr. and Lon C. Collier, both of McRoberts, and Jack M. Collier, of Fleming-Neon.
Funeral services were held February 2 at Carty Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was at Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
