Beatrice Banks Tuttle, 96, died June 13 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
Born at Colson to the late Ochra and Della Amburgey Sexton, she was the widow of Joseph Banks and was later married to William Tuttle, who also preceded her in death.
She was the mother of the late Rabon Banks, and a sister of the late Cecil Sexton, Leander Sexton, Lenville Sexton, Landon Sexton, Charles Sexton, Bradley Sexton, Marie Adams and Arlene McCulough.
Surviving are two sons, Roger Banks and wife Irene of Colson, and Joseph Banks Jr. and wife Soraya of Hustonville; four daughters, Stella Mae Lloyd of Owensboro, Emma Jean Deaton and husband Charles of Jackson, Jewelene King and husband Michael of Florence, and Veletta Martin and husband Willie of Colson; a brother, John Sexton and wife Lorene of Isom; three sisters, Yvonne Tackett and husband Effort, Ann Thomas, and Alice Mason of Colson; 18 grandchildren and a number of greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tuttle were held June 16 in Whitesburg. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
