Funeral services for Charles Taylor, 67, of Neon, were held December 5. Burial was in the Monroe family cemetery in Neon.
A son of the late Elbert and Leola Hall Taylor, he died December 1 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Taylor was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and was a security guard for coal companies. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He was a brother of the late Helen Warlick Fleming, Mary Belle Niece, and Benita Gail Taylor.
Surviving are his companion of many years, Cheryl Monroe, Neon; a daughter, Ramona Wampler, Neon; a son, Adam Monroe, Neon; three grandchildren, Shawna, Jayden, and Parker; and a brother, Frank Taylor, Millstone.
