Duke Gary Wayne Fugate died December 10 at his residence.
A son of Ella Mae Fugate and the late Oakley Fugate, he was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Xeli Lendyn Brock, and his mother-in-law, Jean Blair.
His passion in life was riding his General with all his buddies in the mountains,
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Fugate; a son, Gary Benson Fugate and Amber Combs; a daughter, Shanna Crystal Fugate and Jason Campbell; a grandson he reared, Gavin Isaiah Adams; grandchildren, Emmaleigh Skeye Adams, Alex Lee Brock, Paislee Ann Campbell and Parker Lawton Campbell; four sisters, Yvonne Hall and husband Danny, Wanda Howie and husband Sam, Loretta Henrikson and husband Jon, and Kay Hampton and husband Jeff; brothers, Allen “Doc” Fugate and wife Sherry, and Robbie Fugate; his father-in-law, P-Nut Blair; his sisters-in-law, Diana Combs and husband Lee Roy, and Terry Dixon and husband David; and a number of friends, nieces, and nephews.
Private services will be held due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
