Ed Collier, 83, died June 7 at his home in Premium.
Born to the late Samuel and Mary Holbrook Collier, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Can MacKinley; a grandson, William Edward Hall; a sister; Betty Potter; and three brothers, Johnny Wayne Collier, Denver Collier and Billy Collier.
Mr. Collier was an avid hunter and dog trader who loved watching University of Kentucky basketball.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Cornett Collier; five daughters, Annetta Hall and husband Jimmy of Smoot Creek, Shelia Brown and husband Billy of Thornton, Malinda Miller and husband Reed of Premium, Charlotte Ison of Kingdom Come, and Kathy Combs and husband Greg of Little Colley; five sons, Danny Collier and wife Laynett, Doug Collier, Donald Collier, and Tim Collier, all of Premium, and Anthony Collier of South Carolina; a special great-grandchild, Kyla LaShae Goodgame; 19 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and three special friend, Sid Burns, Dewey Baker and Steve Brewer.
The family would appreciate donations for funeral expenses in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made to his wife.
Funeral services were held June 11 at Cowan Chapel Church. Burial was in the Dinah Blair Cemetery at Cowan.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
