Services held for Edith Baker

Edith S. Baker, 87, died September 14 at her home at Millstone.

A daughter of the late Ben and Alice McCray, she was the widow of James A. Baker, and the stepmother of the late Robert Larry Baker.

Surviving are five sons, Alvin Baker, Solomon ‘Buddy’ Baker and wife Mary Jo, Archie Baker and wife Cindy, Elcainey Baker and wife Lynne, and Wendell Baker and wife Loretta; six daughters, Nanetta Dingus and husband Mike, Christine Goodman and husband Martin, Barbara Franklin and husband Jesse, Nettie Bateholts and husband Scott, Seldon Sexton, and Wanda Caudill and hus- band J.D; two stepsons, L.D. Baker and Charlie Baker and wife Ann, and a number of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held September 17 at Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in the Baker family cemetery at Millstone.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
