Funeral services for Edith V. Hubbard, 85, were held January 29, in Pound, Va. Burial was in the Mullins Cemetery in Eolia.
A daughter of the late Alvin and Mary Sturgill, she died at her home in Eolia on January 24.
She was the widow of James Dillard Hubbard, and a sister of the late Onnie Cassell, Chester Sturgill, Glen Sturgill and Estle Sturgill.
Mrs. Hubbard had been a storekeeper for 35 years, and enjoying sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was a member of Martha’s Chapel Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Annette Adams and husband Bobby of Eolia; two sons, James Hubbard and wife Bernice of Isom, and the Rev. Jimmie Hubbard and wife Dana of Mooresburg, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Teresa Fleming, Erik Hubbard, Neil Adams, Tonya Collins, Justin Hubbard and Jessica Carter; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Sowards of Pound, Va.; and two brothers, Leroy Sturgill, and Leslie Sturgill and wife Helen, all of Pound, Va.
