Emilia Lowe, 85, of Thornton, died September 5 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center.
A daughter of the late Cas and Eva Collins Sexton, she was the widow of Jonah Lowe.
Mrs. Lowe loved her family, going to church, working in her yard, quilting, and going to the Dairy Queen with her special niece Judy Boggs to visit friends.
Surviving are three daughters, Renna Sexton and husband Tim of Colson, Kathy Lucas and husband Jerry of McRoberts, and Debbie Stallard of Georgia; two sons, Deanie Lowe and Larry Lowe, both of Georgia; a granddaughter, Keeka Sexton; a sister, Percie Adams; a special niece, Lee Collins and husband Kenneth; a great-niece, Nikki Layne and Crystal; and a great-nephew, Jeffery Reynolds and Tarren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Berlin Sexton, Marlin Sexton, Lester Sexton and Oscar Sexton.
Funeral services were held September 7 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in the Thornton Cemetery.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
