Eulis Alfred Adams, 82, of Haymond, died January 7 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born in Haymond to the late Watson and Dora Kincer Adams, he was a brother of the late Ruby Stevens, Nancy Howard, Carl Adams, B.J. Adams and William G. Adams.
He was a lifelong resident of Letcher County, was retired from coal mining, and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Surviving are three daughters, Eula Jean Sullivan of Goose Creek, S.C., Elizabeth Ann Peck, Simpsonville, S.C., and Ruby Ann Phillips of Payne Gap; three sons, William G. Adams of Goose Creek, S.C., Eulis Alfred ‘Al’ Adams Jr., Morehead, and Eulis Alfred Adams II, Cromona; a stepdaughter, Pebblia Fluharty, Bean Blossom, Ind.; a sister, Maggie Lee Perry, Benton, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held January 9 at Carty Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was in Webb Cemetery.
