Franklin Gerald Wright, 73, died March 18 at his home at Owl Branch of Dorton.
Born in Pike County, he was a son of the late Frank and Goldie Sowards Wright and a brother of the late Roger Wright.
Wright was a retired welder, the owner of Magic Mountain Leather Works, a gun and knife trader, a member of the Dorton Freewill Baptist Church, and a minister.
Surviving are his wife, Sonja Roberts Wright; two daughters, Angela Wright Belcher and husband Gene, Alabama, and Frankie Wright Mullins and husband Roger, Dorton; three brothers, Randy Wright, Jerry Wright, and Wendell Wright, all of Owl Branch; a sister, Janice Cable, Chucky, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Chad Belcher and wife Savannah, Zachary Mullins and wife Nicole, and Leeza Mullins.
Funeral services were held March 21 at the Dorton Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in the Gerald Wright Memorial Cemetery at Owl Branch.
