Funeral services for Freeman Mullins, 72, of Payne Gap, were held September 24 at the Payne Gap Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in the Laurel Fork Cemetery.
A son of the late Lonnie and Pearl Mullins, he was the widower of Barbara E. Miller Mullins. He was the father of the late Ronnie Joe Mullins and a brother of the late Louie Mullins, Casey Mullins and Barbara Mullins.
He died September 21 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He is survived by two sons, Roy Freeman Mullins and wife Teresa, Jenkins, and Nickey Gerald Mullins, McRoberts; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Ward and husband Chuck, Georgetown, and Melissa Kay Mullins and husband Elmer, Payne Gap; two brothers, Thurman Mullins, Somerset, and Ralph Mullins, Carrollton, Ga.; three sisters, Phyllis Wright, Beefhide; Lois Wright, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Lucy Turner, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Brandon Mullins, Chris Mullins, Brian Mullins, Tessa Mullins, Karmyn Moody, Brad Mullins and Eric Brown; and nine great-grandchildren.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
