Glessie Elkins, 85, died May 13 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born in Partridge, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Edna Johnson Mullins. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert “Bob” Elkins; two brothers; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include two daughters: Dorothy Jones and husband Ray of Partridge, and Jewell Mullins and husband Dale of Eolia; four grandchildren, Ray Jones Jr. and wife Betty of Mayking, Tonya Jones and Johnny Baker of Putney, and Natasha Hall and husband Eric, and Jonathan Mullins and wife Heaven, all of Eolia; 10 great grandchildren, Cassandra, Kevin, Ethan, Rebekah, Jaxon, Jacob, Austin, Sierra, Tyra, and Cameron; five brothers, Russell Jr., Dewey, Lovell, Bobby and Martin Mullins; and seven sisters, her twin Elsie Kinsler, Nellie Miles, Cynthia McIntosh, Norcie Anderson, Ocie Anderson, Ina Mullins, and Juanita Tippett.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ May 19. Burial was in the Earl Mullins Cemetery in Eolia.
