Gracie Lou Ison, 91, died December 9 at her home at Jeremiah.
A daughter of the late Lenville and Mary Smith Adams, she was the widow of Elisha Ison, and the mother of the late Phyllis Watson. She was a sister of the late Gillis Adams, Otis Adams and Omar Adams, and the mother-in-law of the late Joe Swichtenberg.
She owned the Ison Chicken Farm and Egg business at Isom, and had been a member of Isom Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Swichtenberg, Ferndale, Mich.; a son-inlaw, Raymond Watson, Ferndale, Mich.; a brother, Lowell Adams, London; five grandchildren, Monte Watson, Monica Hammerick, Myra Stampler, Jolene Switchtenberg and Jessica Swichtenberg; 10 greatgrandchildren, Alyson, Cassandra, James, Mathew, Shawna, Destiny, Caitlynn, Corey, Halley and Whitney; a great-great-grandchild, Cody Elisha Combs; and friends, Lois Davidson, Carolyn Carter, Trish Maddin, Debbie Morton, Castle Morton and Connie Adams.
Funeral services were held December 15 at Isom Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Adams Cemetery at Jeremiah.
