Helen York Sexton, 88, of Jenkins, died February 25 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
Born Marion, Va., to the late Ruben Augustus and Virginia Lee Sanders York, she was the widow of Leroy Sexton.
She was the mother of the late David Augustus and Bucky Hipps, and a sister of the late Ralph York and Edna Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Felice Mullins and husband Elkie, of Baltimore, Md., and Lee Ann Sexton, of Jenkins; a son, Greg Sexton, of Jenkins; two grandchildren, Kevin Mullins and Kim Mullins, both of Baltimore, Md.; two greatgrandchildren, Heather Zamzow and Mark Mullins, both of Baltimore, Md.; two great-great-grandchildren, Rylie Mullins and Ryland Mullins, both of Baltimore, Md.; and friends, Montana Shae Eldridge and Savannah Grace Eldridge, Punky of St. Louis, Mo., Darlene Bolling Maxie, of Payne Gap, and Ronnie Litton, of Jenkins.
Funeral services were held February 28 in Neon. Burial was in Jenkins-Payne Gap Cemetery.
