Hiram Stamper, 91, of Jeremiah, died May 30 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A son of the late I.D. and Peggy Collins Stamper, he was the widower of Alta Adams Stamper, the father of the late Peggy Ramey, and a grandfather of the late Lonnie Majority.
Surviving are five daughters, Rachel Fike of Indianapolis, Ind., Velma Caudill and Shirley Blair, both of Isom, Patia Bush, Slemp, and Joy Blair of Somerset; three sons, Lee Stamper of Somerset, Jackie Stamper, Jeremiah, and Thomas Stamper of Isom; a sister, Mary Banks of Michigan; 15 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; and 14 greatgreat grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 3 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Adams Cemetery at Jeremiah.
