James Curtis Arnett, 38, of Jenkins, died September 18 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born in Whitesburg to James Lee Arnett of Haymond and the late Susan Hall Arnett, he was preceded in death by two infant children.
He was a son- in- law of the late Timothy Slone and Kathy D. Slone, and was preceded in death by Michael “Mike” Lee Arnett.
He was a horse enthusiast, and a member of American Legion Post 104, Neon.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Kathy “Momma” Ann Arnett; two daughters, Jamie “Daddy’s Piggie” Arnett and Leighanna “Daddy’s Cowgirl” Arnett, both of Jenkins; a son, Isaiah Jacob Sturgill Arnett, of Jenkins; his step-mother, Wendy Arnett, of Haymond; a brother, Shelbert “Scoob” Marion Arnett and wife Charlotte, of Jenkins, Kentucky; and two stepsisters, Amber Bevins and husband Beezer of McRoberts, and Misty Hensley, of Cumberland.
Funeral services were held September 23 at New Freedom of Worship Church in Jenkins.
