Jimmy Johnson of Campobello, S.C., died March 23.
A son of the late Nettie Bentley and the late James Johnson, he was the father of the late Jimmy David Johnson.
He was a graduate of Fleming-Neon High School, where he was a member of the football team.
He attended Eastern Kentucky University, and was employed until retirement as a design engineer in the Cadillac Division of the General Motors Corporation in Michigan.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Sexton Johnson; a son, Douglas Johnson and wife Jo Dee, of Chuluota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Evee, Calee, and Colton; a sister, Janice Johnson Harmon and husband Davi of Eustis, Fla.; four half-sisters, Janet Burgess, Sue Craft, Margaret Hall, and Rebecca Johnson; and five half-brothers, Ronnie Johnson, James Johnson, Jr., Dennis Johnson, Hoby Johnson, and Mike Johnson.
Funeral services were held March 27. Burial was in the John L. Bentley Cemetery at Deane.
