Kelly W. Stamper Sr., 74, died September 14 at his home in Connecticut.
Born at Roxana, he was a son of the late Hassel and Lora Anderson Stamper. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was employed at Loos and Co. in Pomfret and Naples, Fla., and later as a supervisor at Kaman Aerospace until his retirement in 1991.
Stamper was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and enjoyed camping, woodworking, gardening, hunting, and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Paula Kowal Stamper; five sons, Kelly W. Stamper Jr. and Diane Davis, and William H. Stamper and wife Jackie, all of Central Village, Conn.; Michael H. Stamper and wife Jayme and Joseph D. Stamper, all of Sterling, Conn.; and Stephen Stamper and wife Sandra, Voluntown, Conn.; two daughters, Pamela Duclau and husband Richard, Vefuniak Springs, Fla., and Melanie A. Stamper and Wayne Hart, Plainfield, Conn.; a brother, Stephen E. Stamper and wife Pat, Corbin; a sister, Phyllis Caudill, Roxana; 20 grandchildren, and 21 greatgrandchildren.
