Mable Cornett, 93, died April 27.
Born in Letcher County to the late George and Anna Jones Whitaker, she was the widow of Earlis Cornett.
She was the mother of the late Judith Ann Cornett and Sue Carolyn Cornett, and a sister of the late Glenna Cornett, Mary Locke, Iolene Roark, Jewell Young, Clara Halcomb and Martha Cornett.
She was the mother-inlaw of the late John Williams.
Mrs. Cornett enjoyed quilting and cooking, and was a member of the Tolson Creek Old Regular Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Earlene Williams and Glenna Harris and husband Mike, all of Whitesburg; two brothers, Woodrow Whitaker of Roxana and Thomas Whitaker of Connersville, Ind.; a sister, Georgia Adams of Letcher; four grandchildren, Wendy Little and husband Claude, Nikki Bowling and husband Marcus, Leah Harris and Cory Harris; five great-grandchildren, Luke, Sam, Jonah Little, Jake and Josie Bowling; and caretakers, Penny and Kirby Troech, Sharon Johnson, Barbara Holland, Ashley Cornett, and Maggie Hughes.
Funeral services were held April 30 in Whitesburg. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
