Mayford Webb, 88, of Hope, Ind., died October 7 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Born in Mayking to the late W.W. and Pearlie Hall Webb, he was the father of the late Janice Osborne and Dale Webb.
He was retired from Cummins Inc., was a member of the Lions Club, the Columbus American Legion, the Hope Fire Department, and had served as Hope Town Marshal.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and he served during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife, Emogene Webb; three daughters, Carolyn Hofeditz and husband Steve, Panama City, Fla., Joyce Henderson and husband Michael, and Sharon Webb, all of Hope, Ind.; five grandchildren, Mika Greenwald and husband Kurtis, Pahrump, Nev., Jennifer Simmons and husband Nolan, Panama City, Fla., Scott Henderson and wife Audrey, Winter Garden, Fla., Lanna Gayle Roby and husband Bryan, Maize, Kan., and Amanda Burden and husband Glen, Columbus, Ind.; nine greatgrandchildren, Gunnar and Grady Greenwald, Brittany McClellan, Jake Wilkinson, Zach and Chase Henderson, Braden and Brianna Roby, and Isaac Burden; and a brother, John Webb of Dundee, Fla.
Funeral services were held October 11 in Hope, Ind. Burial will be at a later date in Hope Moravian Cemetery.
