Nancy Sue Hogg, 84, died December 8.
Born in Mayking to the late Charles and Lina Kincer Hogg, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Astor, Morris, Ray, Ed, Anne, Betty and Polly.
She was a retired teacher form the Letcher County Public School System and was later a speech therapist.
She was a founding member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Letcher County and a member of Anchor Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Lina Welch Brewer and husband Mark of Nicholasville; a son, John Astor Welch and wife Pam of Lexington; two grandsons, Aaron Caudill and wife Sarah and Jeremy Brewer and wife Barbara; two granddaughters, Christina Parker and Lisa Smith and husband Allen, all of Lexington; and four greatgranddaughters, Melanie, Courtney, Avery and Raegan.
Graveside services were held December 12 at the Hogg-Welch Cemetery in Mayking.
