Phyllis Ann Wright, 76, of Jenkins, died September 29 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born at Beefhide to the late Lonnie and Pearl Mc- Cown Mullins, she was the widow of Leon Wright.
She was a grandmother of the late Karen Rose, Phyllis Ann Mullins and Brandy Mullins, a great-grandmother of the late Taylor Mullins, and a sister of the late Freeman Mullins, Louie Mullins and Casey Mullins.
She had worked for many years as a deli cook for Wright’s Market, and had lived most of her life in Pike County.
Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Rose and husband Delmer, and Sherry Mullins and husband Wendell, all of Jenkins, and Terri Johnson and husband Johnny of Williamsburg; two sons, Jerry Wright of Knoxville, Tenn., and Michael ‘Bone’ Wright of Jenkins; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thurman Mullins of Nancy and Ralph Mullins of Carrolton, Ga.; and two sisters, Lois Wright of Norwood, Oh., and Lucy Turner of Cairo, Ga.
Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Carty-Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in Bill Mullins Cemetery.
