Funeral services for Ray Mullins, 77, were held April 2 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in the Mullins family cemetery at Kite.
A son of the late John Harrison and Veggie Johnson Mullins, he was born in Pike County. He died March 29 at his home at Kite .
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Logan, Charlie, Claude and Burnis, and a grandchild, Miranda Lynn Bentley.
Surviving are three daughters, Malinda Pease of Ermine, Marcia Ann Hall of Kite, and Debra Damron of Virgie; three sons, John Henry Mullins and Dennis Ray Mullins, both of Kite, and Russelle Mullins of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Johnny Mullins of Kite and David Mullins of Sandlick; eight sisters, Ella Rednour of Pennsylvania, Shirley Mullins of Chicago, Ill., Opal Fouts of Indian Creek, Annie Fleming of South Carolina, Rosie Gibson of Tennessee, Maureen Tolliver of Kite, Marie Stewart of Lorain, Ohio, and Beverly Wright of McRoberts; a friend, Paul Dean Sexton of Kite; and nine grandchildren.
