Services held for Ruth Yonts

Funeral services for Ruth Yonts, 78, of Neon, were held December 1 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in the Yonts Cemetery at Goose Creek.

A daughter of the late Harvey and Polly Woods Sandlin, she was born in Whitesburg. She died November 28 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Mrs. Yonts was preceded in death by a brother and several sisters.

Surviving are her husband, George Yonts; three sons, Keith Yonts and wife Carolyn of Neon, Brian Yonts and wife Charlotte of Payne Gap, and Shane Yonts of Knott County; two daughters, Regina Yonts of Tennessee and Brittany Mullins of Neon; four sisters, Marie Sexton and Mary Baker, both of Beaver Dam, Gertrude Baker of Thornton, and Lettie Hall of Whitesburg; and eight grandchildren, Kristen, Tiffany, Madison, Gage, Ridley, Kennedy, Jody and Taylor.
