Services held for Terry Kiser




Terry Dwayne Kiser, 44, of Pistol City, died April 2 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Born in Whitesburg to the late Buford Emory Kiser and Irene Jones Caudill, he was a son-in-law of the late Thelma Gibson. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers, and a son-in-law, Ronnie Wells.

Surviving are his wife, Bertha Gibson Kiser; two daughters, Jessica Kiser of Pistol City, and Misty Thomas and husband Gary of Knott County; four brothers, Michael Kiser of Richlands, Va., Wayne Kiser of Seymour, Ind., and Scott Kiser and wife Addie, and Shawn Kiser, all of Pistol City; six sisters, Pamela Kiser of Deane, Lucy Ayers of Lexington, Vesta Hall of Mayking, Katy Stephens and Louise Pike, both of Isom, and Towanna Couch of Madison, Ind.; a granddaughter, Alyssa Brooke Thomas of Knott County; his father-in-law, Mark Gibson,

Sr., of Ermine; and a sister-in-law, Rena Collins and husband Hoagie of Whitesburg.

Funeral services for Mr. Kiser were held April 7 at the Lighthouse Church at Campbranch. Burial was in the Kiser Cemetery at Campbranch.
