Services held for Thelma Minor




Thelma J. “Jackie” Pannell Minor died June 18.

She was a daughter of the late William and Delphia Tucker Pannell, the widow of Estil James Minor, and a sister of the late Hobart Pannell, Dewey Pannell, Nannie Miller, Billie Vanover and Lena Priest.

She was a member of Man O’ War Church of God.

The Minors lived in Burdine until 1967, when they moved to Pompano Beach, Fla. Mrs. Minor moved to Lexington in 2000 to be with her family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tommy Davis, of Lexington; two grandsons, Chad Davis and his wife, Caroline Calcote, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Brian Davis and fiancée, Leigh Ann Jordan, of Lexington; four great-grandchildren, Cal Davis, Mark Davis, Grace Davis and Hope Davis; two brothers, Dave Pannell and wife Margaret, and Fred Pannell and wife Cathy; and a sister, Pearl Richardson and husband John.

Funeral services were held June 21 in Jenkins. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
