Funeral services for Wanda Boggs, 60, will be held at 11 a.m., Oct. 22, at the Bethel Old Regular Baptist Church in Dunham. Burial will be in the Boggs family cemetery in the South Mountain Section of Pound, Va.
A daughter of the late Feddie and Elbirty Johnson Tackitt, she was the widow of Steven Hugh Boggs, a grandmother of the late Landon Chase Hugh Parton, and a sister of the late Franklin Tackitt.
She died October 18 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn., after a long illness.
Mrs. Boggs was a member of the Bethel Old Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Keisha Parton and husband Wes, Pound, Va.; two stepdaughters, Danica Slyder and Amanda Burrell, both of West Virginia; a son, Ronald “Buddy” Tackitt, Jenkins; a granddaughter, Rylee Parton; four stepgrandchildren, Dillon Slyder, Tiffany Lawson, Joseph “Tater Bug” Burrell and Ian Fristoe; and a brother, Carl Tackitt and wife Faye, Bill Moore Branch.
