Funeral services for George Roark, 67, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 18, at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial will follow in the Roark Cemetery at Kingscreek.

A son of the late Parrot and Lona Day Roark, he died February 15 at his home on Kingscreek.

He was a brother of the late Thomas Roark, Geneva Roark, Norma Lee Roark and Barbara Huff.

Mr. Roark was a member of the Kingdom Come Old Regular Baptist Church for 25 years, and was a member of the Kingscreek Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Dean Fields Roark; a son, Alford Roark of Kingscreek; two granddaughters, Makinley Roark and Victoria Ingram; and six sisters, Polly Hicks of Mousie, Eulene Hogg, Lorene Hampton and Mildred Ison, all of Kingscreek, Gladys Cornett of Hueysville, and Juanita Reeves of Lexington.
